Embracing client push back.
You're excited and confident about the solution you and your team have come up with. You're ready to showcase it to the client, and during your presentation, they push back.
Instead of getting down on yourself or caving, view it as an opportunity to 1. Show that your solution is not fluff but has legitimate reasoning (Always make sure there is a reason behind your decision, preferably data-driven) and 2. To see their point of view and show that you're open to all opinions and feedback.
Pushing back is sometimes necessary, and you shouldn't be afraid to do so as long as you have valid reasoning and believe in what you're selling. Will clients always buy into it? Of course not, but you shouldn't back down whenever someone says no to your solutions. Try to get the client to understand why your solution is best for their business. Remember it's a balance, no one is right 100% of the time. Work together to come up with a creative solution. It establishes mutual respect and teamwork.
